First week(April 18-21, 2017)
Our first week in PSA(Philippine Statistics Authority), we are assigned by Sir Ray F. Merjilla, Supervising Statistical Specialist to geotag photos of Bicol region, The main purpose of conducting the geotagging activity is to identify and mark building structures as points in the digitized maps and attributing these buildings with pertinent geographical information for use in various statistical undertaking of the PSA. I was assigned to the province of Masbate. We are using Google earth pro to capture images of given location and grid. Kuya Norms taught us how to load PSU, grid and save photos to the designated folder. I captured 8762 photos in the first week
Geotagging is the process of creating vector data bymarking building structures in the selected areas as points in the digitized maps for the purpose of the updating activity of digitized maps of the PSA, . Along with the creation of points for building structures, the association or attribution of geographical information to these points, that includes addresses of buildings, building type, pictures, among others, is also done simultaneously as the Map Data Collector marks the identified building structures.

I almost finished all the given PSU but the internet is down. We can`t do the work without internet, Kuya Dhenz said that the department
didn`t paid the bills on time so that the internet providers cuts the connection. At that time, I started to make blog of our OJT in my workstation
Fifth week(May 15-19, 2017)
On our fifth week, All of the provinces have been geotagged and compiled to folders. And then copied to CD`s and
External Hard Drive. Almost 4 gigabytes of images in every province, and then sir Ray gave us
another set of Primary Sample Unit. On friday that week, Madam Roselita H. Llagas a Statistical Specialist II/OS assigned us to PSA-CRS(Civil Registry System) department. Because the other OJT students were absent that time, so I and Jefferson Enesio take charge. I do release at window 6 and barcoding the printed NSO copies. The work there is so exhausting, because you were standing all day long but I met some friends there and enjoy that kind of work.

This week we continue working with the PSUs of Sorsogon given to us by sir Ray last week. We are supposed to finish our OJT this week according to our proposed working schedule(April 17- May 26) but madam Maricor M. Final week(May 29- June 2, 2017)
And this is our final week of our OJT at PSA and currently finishing this Blog. This week I felt happy and sad at the same time. I`m happy because I am not gonna wake-up 6:30 in the morning everyday, not feel tired every 5pm in the afternoon and I can have a lot of time to myself. I`m sad at the same time because Im gonna leave at the office, Miss my workstation and the family in the SOCD(Statistical Operations and Coordination Division) Back to being a responsible, and good student at Bicol University
My Overall Experience at PSA
I experienced the reality of this world, the adult life. I feel like I am not a student anymore and already experienced my future track of my life. I learned so many things like managing time, come to office on time, and eating breakfast. It`s my pleasure working with them, They treated us like a part of a family. I got so many friends, the OJT students of CCDI from other department and other regular employees and job orders. I feel so nervous and pressured before the training but I overcome that feeling. I learn that you need to be confident all the time and be polite always. A simple Goodmorning can do. And that is my overall experience here in the Agency
